Culinary's Thanksgiving Food Feast!

Mrs. Antosek's foods classes celebrated Thanksgiving early with their 4th annual Thanksgiving Feast.  Culinary classes prepared homemade apple and pumpkin pies the week before which were frozen and thawed in the refrigerator the day before the feast.  Each class also made a side dish the day before which included garden salads, homemade mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, stuffing, and cornbread to accompany the Baked ham. Mrs. Antosek reheated the food prior to her first class, then student volunteers helped assist throughout the day.
The best part about the feast was to see students commending each other for their efforts and being truly thankful for the food in front of them, the company of their friends and their teacher!

Business Dept Visits MetLife Stadium

From Mrs. Tomko & Mr. Sossin:
Our trip to Jets Sports Business Day was a great experience for our students who were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of MetLife Stadium that included the opportunity to learn more about the business of sports.  Those students in attendance represented North Arlington High School well and demonstrated the true Viking spirit!

During the day, our students learned how to “make it” in the sports industry and heard from many upper-level executives within the Jets organization who shared their journey from deciding upon a career, to what college and major they chose, the importance of internships and building relationships, and life lessons learned along the way.

Thank you for making a day like this possible for our students.  They truly gained valuable information and represented NAHS in a way that would make us all proud.

NAHS Votes for their Student Government

North Arlington High School held schoolwide elections during the lunch periods on November 1st. In order to run for office, candidates had to complete the application process, write an essay, prepare a kiosk at the "Meet the Candidates" event, and deliver a speech in front of the student body. We are proud of all who ran and we look forward to working with the elected leaders. Thanks to all the faculty advisors and students who helped organize election day and all the events leading up to it.
