Erik Henderson wins last Viking Voucher of 18-19

The Viking Voucher program is meant to reward all the great acts of selflessness and good deeds that occur at NAHS on a daily basis. Erik Henderson received a Viking Voucher from Mr. Farinola for helping during our Stigma-Free Day and he was randomly chosen as this month's winner. When Mr. Bott asked him what $25 gift card he wanted, he said he'd like Dunkin' Donuts. We hope to have the Viking Voucher program continue and thrive into September 2019!

Ms. Antosek's Culinary Class Creates Food Trucks

Over several weeks students learned about the history of the food truck business, realized the cost of start-up and operation and became familiar with forms of advertisement, foods and target populations. They viewed "The Great Food Truck Race" to get ideas then ultimately designed their own food trucks out of recyclable materials.  Student teams had to come up with a theme, menu items, prices and a prime location for their food truck.  Teams also got to produce menu items from their food trucks in the kitchen lab.  All students had to give a short presentation which included their thoughts on having a food truck business.  The winning truck was titled "Snacc Ship" which had unique sweets that would take you to another dimension! The winners received a certificate, got their picture taken. Great work Ms. Antosek and congratulations Aida Lolovic, Stefanie Quintero, Samantha Tortorello, Natalia Mayan, and Kacy Willis
