Gabriella Kaminski (10th Grader) Makes Masks for Healthcare Workers

Gabby Kaminski has been using her quarantine time for more than just catching up on Netflix. She's been making homemade masks for hospital workers and those on the frontlines, including the NAPD. She has also been making masks for the residents of North Arlington. She doesn't sell them but asks for donations to make more masks. Thank you, Gabby for all you're doing and showing everyone what it takes to be an N.A.H.S. Viking!

MP2 1st Honor Roll

Congratulations to our 1st Honor Roll recipients for the 2nd Marking Period. Students earned a grade of at least a 90 in all of their classes and received breakfast as a token of our appreciation for all their hard work. Keep it up!

FBI Presents Career Options for Our Students

Students were treated to a presentation today by the FBI about the potential career options available to them post-graduation. Thanks to Special Agents Delaney and Gill for taking the time to talk about their profession!

Students are nominated by faculty members monthly for serving as a positive example to the school community and exhibiting exemplary character for others to model. Students are honored with a certificate of recognition from our State Senator and their names displayed on the digital board in front of school. Welcome to our Newest Tri-M Members!

On Wednesday, February 12th our newest Tri-M Honor Society members were inducted and the established members treated the audience comprised of family, friends, and faculty to great performances. Thanks to Mx. Lemley, the Viking Music Parents, and all the students for their hard work and for providing refreshments. It was truly a great event and an honor to see all the great talent we have here at NAHS!

Robotics Club Competes at Millburn

On Saturday, February 9th, the Vikatrons Robotics Team competed at Millburn High School. Of 60 Robots entered from, the Vikatrons placed 18th! Congratulations to Mrs. Pontius and the team!

Dhruvil Desai Completes Dentistry Academy at NYU

Congratulations to Dhruvil Desai for completing the Saturday Academy of Dentistry at NYU. Dhruvil applied, was accepted, and took a bus to New York City on Saturdays this Fall to complete the program. We are extremely proud of his work ethic, initiative, and hard work!

Congrats North Arlington High School

North Arlington High School has been named one of the top-performing high schools in the United States. Based on the U.S. News and World Report criteria, which ranked traditional, charter, and magnet schools. Congrats Vikings!

Astronomy Club Views the Moon

Dr. Necoechea's Astronomy Club met last week to view the moon and other celestial bodies using specialized astrophotography equipment.

Mykee Fowlin's Performance Makes Us Think

On January 15th all students saw Mykee Fowlin's "I'm Still Here" performance and it made the entire school think deeply about the topics of inclusion and tolerance. For the hour-long assembly, Mykee used various characters to illustrate his powerful message.
